Who wouldn’t want this gorgeous Sunflower card for their birthday? My thanks to Cindy Piggott, for sharing this beauty with us in our Silver Supporting Silvers group swap. This card is bursting with the 2020-2021 In Colors: Just Jade, Cinnamon Cider and Bumblebee. The front flap with the greeting flips open and the left panel up for a simple fun fold card. Thanks, Cindy!
The stamp on this card reminds me of my son Alec’s Animal Crossing island where he has lots of views and sitting areas! What a peaceful image to put on a card, on a scrapbook or in a home décor item. I love to make wall art pages that are 8 ½” to 12” square with images depicting a particular theme. I think this stamp set would be perfect for that kind of project. Thanks to my friend and roommate for Stampin’ Up! adventures, Tamara Bertram for this pretty card! Looking back over the posts of this week, I see that I am gearing up for my vacation next week. Enjoy the weekend!
There’s a LOT you can do with just an embossing folder. Here, Marcy Denning sponged the Seabed 3D Embossing Folder with Petal Pink and Calypso Coral. It adds so much more texture and needs just a greeting or image on a label and some rhinestones to finish it off. Makes me feel like going to the beach and enjoying the waves, breeze and sunshine! Thanks, Marcy!
“Consume Chocolate” sounds like a great plan for any day! See how the die cut word pop off the page? Really like the colour and multi-layer layout. This card was designed and shared by Elizabeth Green from Brampton, ON. The dies cut words also include: “Love you more than”, “Cookies”, “Coffee” and “Cocktails”. You’ll love making cards with the stamp set that has 26 stamps! Let me know if I can order it for you!
Ready to dive into Autumn, Hallowe’en and Christmas projects yet? As card makers we think nothing of making a Christmas card in August (or January or April for that matter). We’re just weird like that! Check out the new Mini Catalogue chock full of stamps, paper, punches, dies and embellishments to create amazing Fall and Winter seasonal projects. You’ll also find some returning favourites from last year in case you missed them. As a Canadian I must have the Moose stamp set and bundle back in this catalogue. Stay tuned for pics!
Today’s card features the Sparkly Snowflake Splendor Suite designed by Joanne McTavish for our Mini Catalogue swap. A fun fold out card that highlights the Designer Series Paper, Snowflake Wishes Bundle, Winter Snow Embossing Folder and Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper. Simply gorgeous!
Check the new products out in my store. If you don’t have a demonstrator and would like your own copy of the Mini Catalogue to ooh and ahh over at home, be sure to let me know!
From my friend Lisa Henderson, today’s card is a monochromatic quick and easy layout. The greeting is perfect…a simple thank you for a friend. I’ve done this layout many times in my card classes by changing up the DSP and stamping a greeting/image, or adding die cut words at the top. Ribbon, cardstock, foil paper across with embellishments to finish it off! A nice way to show off how the Prized Peony stamp set coordinates with the Peony Garden DSP. Wait…this would be an awesome Monday Mystery Card layout. Stay tuned for that….Enjoy!
Wishing my eldest son a very Happy 26th Birthday today! I can’t believe it. From a tiny early baby to a grown man with all you have achieved academically, I’m so proud of you! With your love of D&D and gaming it was easy to select a card to celebrate you!
I used the collaging technique to randomly stamp images all over. Works great with all kinds of stamp sets. I’ve even done it with “Happy Birthday” and “Thank You” greetings. Give it a whirl sometime!
All these swap cards I’ve been posting have come from several groups I connect with across the country. For some it’s a one card swap and for others, we each do two. Very talented friends! Desiree Spenst designed this colourful card by sponging the die cut in 3 colours. Great technique to allow the white to show through. With a large greeting that becomes the main focal point on the card, you just need a few embellishments and the punched flowers to finish it off. This stamp set was designed by another Million Dollar Achiever, Ronda Wade from Michigan. Hope you make it a Ridiculously Awesome day!
You know the summer is hitting its peak when the sunflowers begin blooming. The vibrant yellow against a crisp blue sky is striking! Elizabeth Green replicated that sparkle in this card swap using the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle. The Gold Foil paper really sets it off. Thanks a bunch back to you, Elizabeth, for this beautiful card!
Need a card from a bunch of people – be that your family, friends, co-workers? The From All of Us stamp set has you covered. Instead of colouring the image, my friend Tamara Bertram did a watercolour wash then stamped the image in black overtop. Brilliant! You can make this up in a jiffy. For the watercolour wash, you’ll need inks or the re-inkers only and a water painter brush (#151298 $16.25 for a set of 3). Wet the paper first then apply the inks individually with your brush. Stinkin’ cute! Thanks, Tamara for this great swap card.
