Fall is coming soon…with this weekend being one of the few summer ones yet. Fear not, September is still a warm month but with cooler nights. I don’t know why I like fall cards so much, but I do: the browns, rusts, copper, yellows and oranges just bring me good memories and a warm feeling. I made today’s card with the Beautiful Autumn bundle (stamp set and punches). I was pleased at how the small stamped and punched maple leaves could assemble to make a wreath. And the little acorn is another of the punches in this set. Wishing you a Beautiful Day!
I’m almost out of other people’s beautiful creations to share with you! Ah! I’ll have to get making some myself. Today’s card was made by Holly on my stamping team. Oh the foil and embossing does make it sparkle! The sentiment is particularly relevant this year as we are reminded all the time of our relationships. The good things in my life are better with my 4 children (yes I’m including my son-in-law, Kyle), family, friends and of course Riley.
A simple notecard to send to a friend to bring cheery thoughts or just “thinking of you” feelings. Today’s card is from Cindy in my swap group and highlights the sunflowers and milk can from two different stamp sets. Mix and match for sure! Love the many layers culminating with the focal point which she beautifully coloured in with our Stampin’ Blends alcohol-based markers. Hope you like this one as much as I do!
Ah…more butterflies! Just can’t get enough of them. I love the multi-layered – yet simple – look of this card from my friend Laurie Larose in Alberta. A great card to use up scraps and ends of paper or fabric. If you’re like me you use every little scrap of foil paper so when there’s a 1/2″ wide strip left over, add it to a card for more texture. Thanks, Laurie!
Today’s card looks so amazing in real life. It’s two large dies that layer over each other for a beautiful burst of colour! The card from Lisa the other day also used Magenta Madness for a Christmas card. Versatile colour, right? Thanks to Dawn for swapping this one featuring the new Many Layered Blossoms dies.
I wouldn’t have ANY cards to post if it wasn’t for all the great swaps I’ve been in lately….this one’s from Marilyn on my team. The card flips up to the side to open for a really different kind of fold. You know I love butterflies, so I was drawn to this one just on that score! Thanks, Marilyn!
Yes, it may be 36C out there but I’m posting another Christmas card! My friend Lisa Henderson shared this one in a swap with a bunch of us recently. It’s a bit of a fancy fold but the star of the show is the Plush Poinsettia flocked paper. It’s raised and soft to the touch. Non-traditional colours with the hot pink of Magenta Madness set against black but I like it!
Here’s the Decor piece I made for my son Craig’s 26th birthday as part of his gift. It’s so perfect for him being the chocoholic that he is! These finished pieces are anywhere between 9″ square to 8″ x 10″ depending on the frames that I score for them. It shows of the new “Nothing’s Better Than” bundle (stamp set and dies). Hope you like it!
When I first heard, “You’re the goat” I must say I didn’t think it was a compliment! But then I read the fine print and it stands for “greatest of all time” and that, my friends is definitely what I like to hear.
Fun card made by my friend Shauna Mikuliak from Moose Jaw, SK, that would be perfect for a birthday, congratulations or just because to cheer someone up. The goat itself is really rather cute. Another animal for our collection. Super adorable. Thanks, Shauna!
It “snow” wonder I’m thinking of Christmas! With this cute pop up easel card from my friend Elizabeth Green, and the adorable snowman arriving in the mail and planning my first Christmas Card Classes of the season. In fact, the first Christmas Card class is August 25 over Zoom so if you want to join in, let me know by Fri Aug 14. This class featured the Wrapped in Christmas stamp set for you take home for just $40 and coordinating cards. Message me to register!
My thanks to Elizabeth for bringing Christmas home already in August.
